Mental Health Conditions

Mental Health Conditions

Only a mental health professional can diagnose conditions like depression, anxiety or PTSD, but it is important for you to be aware of what to watch for, so you know when to seek professional help.

Depression is a serious condition that impacts how we feel, think and behave.

Anxiety can interfere with a person’s relationships, job and overall functioning in life

Natural disasters, acts of violence, or a terrorist attacks can cause PTSD to occur.

People with a mental health condition can be susceptible to using drugs and/or alcohol.

When a person meaningful in your life dies, you may experience grief.

Healing Communities

Healing Communities

When a tragedy occurs – whether it is the death or injury of an individual, or an act of mass violence – the effects of grief and trauma often reverberate beyond families and friends. The broader community may require long-term support to promote healing.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic had evolved into the deadliest global health crisis we have faced in our lifetime.

When a tragedy occurs, the local community must support those impacted – sometimes a national or global response is required.

Resilience is the capacity to manage adversity and losses, and the ability to adapt to challenges and life-changing events
