Voices of Experience
Through a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, VOICES published Voices of Experience: Helping Communities Heal After Traumatic Events, a two-day training program that is based on our research findings and content from our Preparing for After Resource Kit.
The training assists communities in preparing for acts of terrorism, mass violence, and natural disasters and is intended for a broad range of community stakeholders. The course includes Building Resilient Communities; Understanding Human Pathways After Traumatic Events; Recognizing Disorders After Traumatic Events; Planning for Response and Long-Term Recovery; Helping the Individual Recover from Traumatic Events; Helping the Community Recover from Traumatic Events.
