I am writing with the sad news that our longtime friend and former co-worker, Darlene Johnson, has passed away after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. First and foremost, Darlene was a personal friend who quietly supported our family through a challenging time after 9/11. We will always be grateful! This time he wasn’t suiting up for the Giants; he was expressing his support for the 9/11 Responders. In 2008, Martin walked more than 3,200 miles across the United States to benefit “thousands of the true heroes of 9/11,” seriously ill rescue and recovery workers.
