9/11 Community

VOICES Remains Committed to Supporting 9/11 Families, Survivors, and Responders

VOICES provides long-term support services, resources, and access to mental health care; commemorates the lives lost; and shares our expertise through public-private partnerships with communities impacted by tragedies, in the United States and abroad.

18 years later, many victims’ families, survivors and responders still desperately need our help. Over 400,000 people were exposed to toxins in the aftermath of 9/11. Currently over 40,000 have life-threatening illnesses and serious mental health conditions. Nearly 2,000 have died of 9/11-related illnesses, leaving behind families who need care.

Your support will advance our vision to ensure that those impacted by tragedies receive the long-term care they need to ensure healing and resilience in their lives.

For nearly 19 years, VOICES has helped tens of thousands of people – not only those impacted by 9/11, but other tragedies as well, including the pandemic.

As our mission expanded, so too has our programming, education and training, including conferences and symposiums, both in the U.S. and abroad, as evidenced by the numbers in the infographic.
