I saw your name inscribed on a memorial, alongside your name were the words:

Loyal.
Beautiful.
Thoughtful.
Determined.
Loved family, Adored cats.

I kept my composure until that last line.

Adored cats.

And somehow, that small, wonderfully human detail stopped me in my tracks. Because beyond the dates, the memorials, and the tragedy, there you were a person who loved your family and adored cats. I don’t know you, but I instantly felt that you needed something written here. Something that remembered not only how you passed but something as beautifully ordinary and human as what you loved. Anyone who adores cats has to have a little softness in their soul. So today, decades later, a stranger stopped when she saw your name. She looked you up. She thought about you. And for a moment, you were more than a name on a memorial. You were a person who loved, who was loved, and who apparently had a soft spot for cats. Which can only mean good things. I hope you know that you are still being remembered. ❤️
