I did not know Karleton well at all but he and my daughter were high school classmates and friends. I worked with his mom at Duke Medical Center. I have had Karleton on my mind for years since I saw his name flashed across the screen as one of the victims. I intended to contact Barbara but never did. I think of her grief often as I feel it must have been unbearable pain. Karleton's death was a great loss - to his family and to our country. For someone I barely knew Karleton and his mom are often on my mind. God bless you all.

I sing with the Milwaukee Choristers in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Several choirs from the area sang at the Bascillica for the "Rolling Requeiem" Memorial Service in 2001 for those who lost their lives on 9/11. We each received a pin to wear and I chose Karleton D. B. Fyfe which I attached to a print out from the internet and it has his picture as well. I have this taped to the shelf in my computer desk. I look at it every day and today it was a relief to hear that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. A justification - yes - but we can not bring back those who deserved to be here today. I often wished I could have contacted Barbara to share my grief that I felt even tho I did not know him or his family. I have had Karleton and Barbara and family on my mind for years. I often think of his son and wonder was the new expected baby a girl or boy. I wish I could have been a support to the family. I will always have his picture and pin with me as they are a part of my life. I did not know of this site before and glad I found it today.

Thinking of Karleton's family on this also a Tuesday the 11th anniversary of Sept 11, 2001 when they lost their loved one on that fateful day. I knew Karleton's father Jim as we worked for the same company many years. My heart goes out to him and Barbara and Karleton's wife and children as they remember his life today and every day. To Karleton's Uncle Bill...thank you for your sharing in your 5-11-11 entry. Prov. 3:5 May the Lord comfort you all.

Thinking of you this day, Karleton, 20 years after that horribly tragic day. What I remember best about you as a young boy was your infectious smile. God bless your family. Jim and Barb, it has been even more years ago since we were neighbors but remember you all very fondly.
