My name is Kyle. I'm a senior at Pinewood Preparatory School in Summerville, South Carolina. My school has a big concert by the Summerville Orchestra to commemorate the happenings of September 11 and this year my AP English teacher gave us an assignment. We were to choose someone who had passed away on that day and we were to write a paper on what we learned from their life and their sacrifices.

I chose Christopher Santora and I have been deeply moved by his story. He was such a promising bright young man and he sacrificed his life to save others as a firefighter: a hero to the last. I just wanted to say to his parents and family that they raised an amazing son and that they should be proud of his life and his amazing will to help others. I will remember him forever.
