Biography:

On September 11, 2001, Antonio Dorsey Pratt was one of twenty staff members working for Cantor Fitzgerald Forte Food Service on the 101st Floor of the North Tower. “Tony” - as he was known to his friends - was forty-three years old and a native New Yorker.

Antonio had an interest in the food service industry, and while a client at The Institute for Community Living – an agency which helped him to acquire housing and management training – he expanded his personal and professional skills to re-enter the workforce.

According to supervisor, Jordan Freeman, “Tony was a ‘shining star’.  He did extremely well in our programs, and eventually graduated to become a mentor for others.  Tony had real goals and wanted to develop skills and move back into the work world. And he did, he moved on to employment at the World Trade Center.”

Freeman continued, “Tony was a very friendly and caring person. There weren’t a lot of people who were able to get their lives back on track, but Tony was one that could and worked really hard to do that.”
