To Barbara k. olson

I know you must have been terrified sitting on that plane as you saw it come down and crash in to flames into the pentagon knowing that you have done nothing wrong. hearing about the terrace taking control of flight 77 and the other aircrafts that also crashed was the most emotional time as people stopped to think whats happening, how long is it going to be before the worst is over. hearing about the people who died and people who tried to save other people was shocking to see or to hear. you were a author writing books for people to enjoy and read, and now knowing you cant write anymore was sad to hear but i know other authors are now writing about you and thousands of others that lost there lives but you all will be remembered forever. i'm proud to respect this day and to take time out to remember our nation being so strong through this tough time we never lost hope. our loved ones will always be remembered in our hearts and so will you Barbara K. Olson. i know there must be people out there prying for you right now and are missing you wishing that this day had never happened and so am i.

Living in The Netherlands and being 17 years old in 2001, I remember that day like yesterday. I got home just after the second plane hit the WTC and my family and I saw the events unfold on CNN. I reconized the magnitute and severity of the events and saw the names of the victims and missing persons on the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen. I was in total disbelief and could not take my eyes of it and realised that every name was a person who was unaware of their destiny when they woke that morning. I decided to remember one name and to this day, every time something comes up on TV about 9/11, I remember your name and the images like yesterday. I always wondered who this person was behind the name and today (9/11/2021) I finally realised that I could probably find you on the memorial website. If any family members or friends every check this site, know that Barbara and all the other people who lost their lives are not forgotten.
