On September 10, 2016 at the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb held at the National Harbor just outside of D.C., I had the honor & privilege to climb for you. During the climb I was overwhelmed by the exhaustion & 94 degree weather we had. I had to take a moment to collect myself and regroup. I had a moment where I was ready to quit and walk away but as I sat there, I held your picture and talked to you. I thought that there is no way that you would give up and I knew that there was no way that I could give up for you. I knew that I had to complete this climb for you and ring the bell in your honor. If not for your strength and courage I would not have finished this climb. I was very emotional as I was able to announce your name while ringing the bell five times in your honor. Thank you for all that you have done & for all that you still do. I will always remember you and will do my best to continue on in your footsteps.

Sincerely,
Kevin Nida
