I had the pleasure of meeting Edmund and working with him as his executive assistant from 1998 until I moved on in 2005. He was one of the kindest and generous people I know who had a genuine interest in helping people. He was down to earth and didn't possess a huge ego. Something I liked and what gave me enthusiasm to come to work every day. He inspired me to become a notary public so I could sign his legal documents. It worked out perfectly.

I have missed him since that day when Maureen, the travel agent at the time, called me frantically that Edmund was on "that flight". I remember her panicking saying he switched his flight that morning. She was right and soon later found out, as we all did at MRV Communications.
I haven't been able to walk through the memorial, and not sure I ever will be able to, but I can say he remains comfortably in my memory as a kind and generous man who worked hard on his job and who loved his family dearly. He would tell me stories smiling about what he did the night before with his son or wife He had a lot of love in his heart and it showed. .
