After the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I saw an Instagram post of someone running a mile for each life lost. I was inspired and so now I am hiking a mile to honor the lives lost on that day, a day to never forget and lives to never forget.

On 10/24/2026, I hiked a mile in honor of David D. Alger.

In regard to the story I read about his lunch table, cheers to David with burgers and apple pie.
