Dear Joanne Ahladiotis

I can't begin to imagine what you were doing or how you felt the moment the plane crashed into the first World Trade Center building. And, unfortunately, you were not the only victim in this horrid act of terrorism.

As a person I honestly can t be sure who you were, but I do know you didn't deserve to die how you did and when--especially not at age 27.

Now I know I was only a little girl when this happened, too young to completely understand quite what occurred at the time but having watched the old news reports, seeing what really happened in those moments when the towers fell and the Pentagon was engulfed in flames, really got me thinking how lucky I am to not have had any family or friends there at the time.

My sympathy goes out to your friends and family, and I write this to you so you know that your memory will not be forgotten :")

In Loving Memory of Joanne Ahladiotis

Dear loving family of Joanne

My name is kendra from stafford high school. We were watching videos of what happened the day 9/11 occurred, like tragedy, death, fire, even smoke. I now know what really happened that day but before i didn't know much about 9/11 because I was so very young when that went on but now after i saw pictures and videos of what happened to the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, and what people had to go through that day, trying to get their families to safety and trying to get themselves to safety.

Now I know what happened that day like families broken and destroyed, and many people lost their jobs. I am typing this letter to you to give my sympathy to you and your family. I am glad I was able to do this.

Sincerely

Kendra from Mr. Holland's 1st block class

Dear family of Joanne,

My name is Katelynn Morris, I am a senior at Paola High School. I am doing a project on the people who lost their lives in 9/11 and we were asked to pick someone to focus on. I picked Joanne. I want to send my condolences to you. Joanne seemed like a very lovely woman.

"Dear Joanne, I never met you, but I can truly see how brilliant you were and how much your friends and family loved you. An incredible person with so much potential and an immense strength. What happened that day is so unfortunate, and I hope all your family and friends have found peace even after your departure. I can assure you that you will never be forgotten; you were a very valuable person, and I sincerely hope your soul is at peace." 💐🕊️
