Nicky Brandemarti was lost in the World Trade Center attack against our country on September 11, 2001. He had just begun his professional career at the investment banking firm, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
Nicky was a standout student-athlete at West Deptford High School and Fordham University. At West Deptford High School, his record breaking single game rushing total of 337 yards still stands. His single season rushing total of 1204 yards was a school record until our 2002 scholarship winner, Damon McWhite, recently broke it. While at Fordham, Nicky was presented the Bill Tierney Spirit Award for his dedication to the Ram's Football Program.
Nicky was known for his kindness to others and gregarious personality. With a glimpse of his smile and determined demeanor, one knew he was destined for greatness. Even more impressive was his love for his friends and family and his zest for life!

The sound of swooning is often heard around college football players. Nicholas Brandemarti was no exception. But the fullback from West Deptford, N.J., who graduated from Fordham University last May, did not abuse the privilege. "On campus, he was known for his genuine respect and reverence for young women," said Sister Anne Walsh, the team's academic adviser, who said he always greeted them with the gallant phrase, "And there she is."
The Fordham coach, David Clawson, called him " In his senior year, concussions forced him to stop playing. He was devastated. Coach Clawson made him a student coach, and the former fullback started up that day. "His teammates were so important that the idea of not being around those guys — he couldn't do it," the coach said. The staff accepted him, the players respected him, and "nobody blinked."
Mr. Brandemarti's mother, Nancy, recalled how her son would have an idea and just do it. He earned a scuba certificate and went mountain climbing for the first time last summer in Maine. She recalled how happy he was to get just the kind of job he wanted, as an analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods. There he could survey the world from the 89th floor of 2 World Trade Center. "He was living the beginning of his dream," Mrs. Brandemarti said.

We have been thinking about him and especially on this day would just like to express our thanks and wanted you to know how much that scholarship meant to my son thank you again and we will always remember him

My boss was a close friend of
My boss was a close friend of Nick's and even spent time with him a couple weeks before the attack. His name is etched in my memory. I'm sorry for your loss. It feels like so little and insignificant to say it compared to the gravity of the space left by what was taken from you, but it's all I can say. I intend, upon my next visit to NY, to go to the memorial and find his name on the wall.

Dear Nicholas's family and friends; i cannot express the deep sorrow i have for you guys! Nicholas is sure to be missed for his high spirits kindness and teamwork. But do not remember him from the sadness of his death remember him from the joy of his life and the things he means to us!

My sincere prayers for Nick’s soul to Almighty 🙏
I met him at my work where Nick was coming for his company’s business. I spent good amount of time to make our individual system integrate well for the project. He was very nice person with lots enthusiasm and positivity.
Ever since I knew about his sudden departure… I always remember him and pray to God for peace to Nick’s soul in HIS feet 🙏
