I still remember when I heard that Dan's big brother had been one of those killed in the towers. I didn't know Bill that well (he graduated when I was just a freshman at SH) and hadn' t even seen Dan since High School. But my heart broke. God bless Bill and the wonderful family he left behind.

JUST A MOMENT AGO Remembering those who died...May we never forget....Just a moment ago you were one minute old nestled close to my heart so that you would be warm. Just a moment ago you were just turning three chasing down butterflies and giggling with glee. Just a moment ago. I stood cheering your game as you hit a home run and the crowd yelled your name. Just a moment ago you walked down the aisle now a handsome young groom with the happiest smile. Just a moment ago you brought me your son and I marveled the miracle that I had begun. Just a moment ago I stood silent and prayed asking God for His mercy on that horrible day. Just a moment ago I stood mourning my child as I looked to the heavens remembering your smile. Hi sweetheart:

I have not written to you in a while, but today is a glorious day for our families. Emma Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn College in S Alabama. The ceremony was lovely, although I only saw it on the link. It still made me feel like I was a part of it and it was emotional for me. Your baby , little girl, your darlin Emma graduated college. It has gone so quickly. Jen and John were there and sent me some lovely pictures. Where has the time gone, She is a beautiful, red headed treasure and is inwardly and outwardly a lovely young lady. She is so kind and caring to me, and it means so much. The world is crazy all around us, but Emma is grounded and has her feet solidly planted. Bill you would be beaming from ear to ear today as you watched her get her Bachelor’s degree.

I know I did. She also has a great boyfriend who is celebrating Emma today. He is very nice, and I think you would approve of him.

Secondly Hailey finished her 2nd Year at Emory in Atlanta and now goes to the bigger campus. Because of her wonderful grades and input into the college, she got chosen to be a Grand Marshall at her graduation where the students get an Associate’s degree I believe. She will now be working her last 2 years for her Batchelor’s degree.

So your niece is also a bright, articulate young lady.

Dan and Shawna went to celebrate with Hailey.

A proud and lovely weekend for the family, as I said.

Just wanted to share the good news.

I miss you so much each and every day. Please continue to watch over us and keep us safe.

Love you to the moon and back,
Mom ❤️
