Robert J. Agostini , 54, of Oakhurst, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. A Battalion Chief with North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue, Battalion 1 of the 3rd platoon, he retired after 25 years of service. He was also a 911 First Responder. Born in Jersey City, Robert was a 1977 graduate of Weehawken High School. He attended the Delhi School of Architecture and Design in Delhi, NY and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science from New Jersey City University. He owned and operated Agco Sales, a home improvement business in Union City, prior to becoming a firefighter. He enjoyed cooking, landscaping, and drumming in his spare time.
