Peter Milano was born in Brooklyn, NY to the parents of Mary and Frank Milano on August 10, 1958. He grew up in Canarsie with his brothers, Derf, Frankie, Tommy and sister Maureen. Peter attended Holy Family Grade school and graduated from Nazareth High School in 1976 and then attended the State University at Brockport in Upstate, NY. While in college he worked a variety of jobs while attending school from the student union, resident assistant, bartending and managing the first disco in Brockport( Club 2 on 2). In the summers Peter worked a variety of jobs including one summer working construction in the heat of LaGrange, Texas to assist his parents in paying for his education. Upon graduation in 1980 Peter began his career in the financial sector of NYC/Wall Street and worked for Cantor Fitzgerald as a Bond Broker. He worked his way up to Vice President and Partner. On March 10, 1984 Peter married his true love Patty Massaria Milano and they resided in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. They moved to Middletown, NJ in 1987 and that is where the family still resides. On October 13, 1985 their first child Peter Jr. was born in Brooklyn and on March 11, 1988 their second child Jessica was born. Peter’s relationship with his family and children was one that families and people dream about. They shared admiration, mutual respect and a mutual love for one another. He was their best friend, the pillar of the family and someone that they could depend on for everything. There was not a thing in the world that Peter would not do for the family. During the week, he took time from his busy schedule and long days at work and grueling commute to find time to be involved with all of Peter Jr’s sports activities, especially Basketball. He was equally attentive to Jessica and all her activities especially dancing. His weekends were filled with family activities such as assisting in the family errands, shopping and helping his wife Patti around the house even though he was so busy during the week, he found time to assist the family on weekends. Peter Jr. is currently a senior at NYU and is majoring in Journalism. He takes after his dad with his vibrant personality and his ability to assist others and make people feel comfortable. He is the life of the party and goes out of his way to introduce himself to others and put people at ease. Jessica is a Sophmore at Boston University and active in acting, singing and dancing. Jessica has Peter’s creative pensive side and is more outgoing after she gets to know people but has that warm heart and is very kind hearted as she takes after her father. Patty continues to be the rock of the family and looks after her two children. She is involved in the community trying to give back to those that have been supportive of her during these difficult times. She is actively involved with the foundation to make sure that the legacy of Peter will never be forgotten. Although not a minute of any day goes bye when Peter is not on her mind she looks forward to meeting again in God’s hands and continuing their journey. As a friend, Peter made sure that he always knew as much about a person as he could. He always asked questions like when is your birthday, spouses names, children’s name, where you lived etc. and he always ma de it a point to remember those details and ask you about things in your live. He had an unbelievable memory and he made you feel special all the time. He always had a smile on his face and treated everyone so special that you thought that you were special in his life and you were but he had the ability to do this with so many people in all walks of life. He was an avid Yankee Fan who lived his life thru the ups and down of the Yankee’s. He was always there with a helping hand weather it was financial assistance, moral support, or to get some advice, he found the time to be there out of his busy schedule. He always made people feel welcome and whether it was the holidays, a special occasion, a dinner, get together or just any day he opened his home and wine to all. His love, warmth, compassion, generosity, integrity, strength and always being there and being a friend will be forever missed. Peter, not a day goes bye that we do think of you and all those that you have touched. Save us all a seat upstairs until we meet again. We love you Peter...
