Dear Peter,
You don't know me but I know you. I met your mom and sister at a 9/11 support group. We had to turn to each other; to grieve together. I have since met your Dad and you have a wonderful family. Our group along with other parents who lost someone is called "the moms and pops." I enjoyed looking at your family pictures. You sure are handsome with a wonderful smile. We will never replace who we lost but you and my son Alan will always remain in our hearts along with all those who perished on that horrendous day. It is etched in our souls. One day when I am with my Alan again perhaps I will meet you and we can rejoice at being together. Maybe then I will finally have peace.
Love
Vicki Shoemaker

Today, just a few moments ago, I glanced up at a tv in my doctors office which was showing the 911 memorial reading of the names of our lost friends and family. At that moment, Peter's name was read which immediately triggered fond memories of him. I then googled his name and was able to find many photos of him smiling just as I remembered him to always be. G-d bless, you will always be missed but wonderfully remembered.
