Patrick, you will be honored this year at Garvin Park in Evansville Indiana on September 11th 2026. Rest in Peace

After the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I saw an Instagram post of someone running a mile for each life lost. I was inspired and so now I am hiking a mile to honor the lives lost on that day, a day to never forget and lives to never forget.

Today, on 10/1/2026, I hiked a mile in honor of Patrick Jan Adams.

God bless.

To Patrick’s family, this morning when I hiked, I wondered if Patrick liked deer… then this afternoon, I read his obituary and discovered that Patrick would greet the fish in the aquarium at his apartment building. This made me smile. When I see deer on my hike, I greet them too and tell them good morning and how beautiful they are. I pray for Patrick’s loved ones.
