Only last night did I learn about Michael. I never knew him but for a time I knew his parents Don Bane and Kay Jibbben well. I attended their wedding met their daughter Christina and attended Kay's funeral. Peace to all of them.

At school, in our "Current Social Issues" class we were assigned to research a 9/11 victim. When this tragedy happened I was not alive yet, so when we started I really didn't know the full impact and heartbreak of 9/11. However, after watching a documentary of footage from that day, and learning about Michael I have a much better grasp of how horrible this event was and how it has scarred so many people. Only being a freshman in high school from Kansas I never knew Michael or any of the 9/11 victims, but that doesn't change the fact that I still care and am praying for the families of 9/11 victims. Michael was an amazing person and I praise God for the 33 years of life he had.
