Biography:

Special Agent Louis H. Aguirre passed away due to cancer that was linked to the attacks. Many have died since the attack due to respiratory illnesses and cancers linked to the debris in the air during search and rescue missions at the site of the Twin Towers collapse.

Aguirre was a U.S. Army veteran. For 19 years, Agent Aguirre had served with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Homeland Security Investigations and the legacy United States Department of Justice – Immigration and Naturalization Service. Previously, Aguirre had begun his law enforcement career working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
