Larry John Senko was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 20, 1967. He was raised in Donora, PA where he lived with his parents, Margaret and Ed as well as his older brother, Eddie. Larry was a caring and energetic child who loved his family, friends and sports. He played football for both Mon Valley High School and St. Francis College. Upon graduating with a business degree, Larry moved himself to Philadelphia to start his career in recruiting.
Larry worked on the "Main Line" for several years before moving to Bala Cynwyd with his adoring wife, Debbi. It was at this time in 1997, that Larry began working for Alliance Consulting on the 102nd floor of the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Larry was proud of his job. His hard work earned him the title of Vice President of the New York office. It also afforded him the opportunity to buy a house in Yardley, PA. As his career grew, so did his family. Larry and Debbi welcomed their son, Tyler to the world in February of 2000.
On September 11, 2001, Larry left for work in the usual fashion. Rising at 5:30 a.m. and sharing kisses with his family before he left. Larry spoke with his wife after the tragedy began. In Larry fashion, he was calm and expressed his love. Although he promised to make it home, fate had other plans. Another hero was needed and taken before his time.
Yesterday your family cherished you as a loving husband, father son and brother.
Today your country honors you as a man and as a Hero.
Tomorrow and forever you are in the hearts of those you have touched.

Five years ago, when Debbi Senko was teaching at an elementary school, her husband used to send her flowers at work. A lot. "All the women would get jealous and say, `Oh, more flowers for you,' " she said. "So one time, when he sent flowers, he included one rose for every woman in my wing."
Gallantry came naturally to Larry J. Senko, who grew up in tiny Donora, Pa., but had big-city sensibilities. "I lived in a city all my life, but he was more cosmopolitan than I," Mrs. Senko said. "He loved fast cars, nice dinners; he loved art." Mr. Senko, 34, also loved working in 1 World Trade Center, where he was an area vice president for Alliance Consulting.
But he also had a down-home side. He met his wife in a local bar; both had followed the Grateful Dead, and the two began going to shows together. Years later, Mr. Senko would wake up early on Sunday mornings to play guitar for their son Tyler, 2. "Recently he'd moved from the Grateful Dead to `If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands,' " Mrs. Senko said.
"We were just starting to realize our dreams," Mrs. Senko said, adding that they had just built a house in Yardley, Pa. In August, when Mr. Senko gave her a surprise birthday party there, they stopped to savor the moment. "We were looking around and saying how grateful we were for everything," she said. "Sometimes you don't get the chance to say that."

My memories of Larry from
My memories of Larry from Judge Technical Services are mostly of his love of music. He was a huge Grateful Dead fan. Loved Jerry Garcia - he was taking quizzes online about music all the time. We talked about music all the time. When I heard he was gone I couldn't believe it. I am remembering him today by sending my love out to his family and friends.

Larry, as you look down on
Larry, as you look down on your family and friends with that huge smile of yours, I hope you hear my prayers for them. I am grateful you hiring me with ACG, for all the Amtrak rides we enjoyed (and hated) and being able to laugh, talk sports and down a beer. Your words from that fateful morning echo in my ears and pushed me thru many tough times. You touched many people in such positive ways. I'm sure you're keeping God laughing! I miss you my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and always. I worked with Larry at Judge Technical Services and am so sorry to hear that he was lost in this tragedy. Ty, your dad was a great person and co-worker. Your dad is very proud of you. Remember him always. He is our angel above now.
