On this day, I reflect on the many great memories of my friend, Fred Morrone. From our trip to Germany and Luxemborg, to our travails to Washington, DC to testify before Congress, to our family visits to his home in Point Pleasant, and of course, our years spent together in the New Jersey State Police, Fred was the epitome of an authentic gentleman, a man of religion, a family man who cherished his time with Linda and his children and a "Trooper's Trooper." Today, I will remember him as I deliver my reflections on working at Ground Zero, and how every time I stepped on that sacred ground, my memories of this dear friend were revived. RIP my friend and some day we shall meet again.
