I am thinking about you today
I am thinking about you today Danny.I am thinking about how very brave you were that day. Your actions will never be forgotten I think about you and your family often. I imagine your kids are getting big. I will raise a glass for you today. I will think about all the fun we had growing up and how you were really there for me when I went through my rough time. See you on the other side Danny

9/11..the day every one will
9/11..the day every one will remember. That day was a very tragic day for almost 3000 people at the w.t.c. including the life of John Marshall. I'm very sorry for his families loss and hope that his family remembers what he did on 9/11 as a firefighter to put his life out for the sake of others. He will always be in our thoughts and hearts as a hero. God bless america.

Never Forget
My Dad met up with John (Dan) in August 2001 when he was in the city. Dad went to Engine 23 as my Dad's badge number for the Burbank Fire Department, in Burbank IL is 23. Obviously it is his favorite number. Dan was very hospitable and they traded duty shirts. After the tragedy, we hope and prayed he was safe. After weeks, we found out Dan passed and my Dad took the news very hard. Even though their meeting was brief, he was a brother to my Dad. We think of Dan often and Dad wears the shirt he received from Dan with pride. Rest easy hero, you are not forgotten.

Happy birthday
I visited the memorial on the 23rd of July 2022. John Daniel Marshall’s name had a beautiful white rose poking out of it. I heard that meant it was his birthday, if that’s correct I wish you the happiest of birthdays for that day and I hope peace is upon you wherever you are. I think if you and everyone lost, especially today, 22 years after the tragedy. 9/11/23 fly high
