Thank you for taking time to visit me the day before you left Detroit for the last time. Thank you for your talent, your intelligence, your kindness, your wisdom, your loyalty, your values, your insights, your personality, your laughter, and most of all thank you for being you. Had the men in those planes known you there never would have been a 911.

Godmother, you were a rock to our family even before my dad died. You were even more of a rock after. You were an inspiration and we could not picture our lives without you. We miss you every day. Mommy hoped for your safe return for days until we were finally told you were among those that joined heaven's army. Seven years later Mommy joined you and Daddy. Now you watch over us all. Thank you for being there for me through life. Thank you for bringing joy and love and your beautiful smile to my graduation. Thank you for all that you were and all that you gave while we had you.
