As the 9th anniversary approaches, it has been wonderful to hear from so many of you! The anniversary is always a time of reflection but also a time to reconnect with the 9/11 community and welcome those who are joining us for the first time. VOICES staff has been busy responding to a variety of concerns, requests for services and inquiries about opportunities to participate in the upcoming commemorative events.

VOICES invites you to our 9th Annual Always Remember Day of Remembrance Events on Friday, September 10. 2010. VOICES Information Forum will include Panel Discussions, Workshops and Exhibits at Marriott Downtown at 85 West Street from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

As the 9th anniversary approaches we are planning our annual Day of Remembrance events in New York City. On Friday, September 10th we will host our 9th annual Information Forum at the Marriott Downtown. As we finalize the agenda we welcome any thoughts on topics that might be of interest to you.

Voices of September 11th (VOICES) invites you to attend our upcoming 9/11 Living Memorial events in Arlington, VA. VOICES will host 9/11 Living Memorial presentations on Tuesday, July 27th to discuss the project and how to participate. Those attending are invited to bring your mementos for scanning.

During the months of July & August, Voices of September 11th will host 9/11 Living Memorial Workshops in several locations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. VOICES staff is available to meet with you at our New Canaan, CT or New Brunswick, NJ offices or to host a workshop in your community.

Thanks to all who attended VOICES Third Annual Always Remember Benefit. It was a real honor to have Former Prime Minister Tony Blair as our keynote speaker, President Bill Clinton as our Honorary Chairman and an uplifting performance by Peter Yarrow. Their combined generosity of time and talent to support our efforts is very much appreciated.

On June 22, 2010 the New York Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) released information announcing the end of a three month process of searching for potential human remains in materials excavated from the WTC site.

Bonnie McEneaney, a member of VOICES’ Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the 3rd annual Always Remember Benefit will be on 20/20 tonight, June 18. Bonnie will be discussing her recently released book, entitled Messages: Signs, Visits and Premonitions from Loved Ones Lost on 9/11.
