  • Diary Writing Workshop Begins May 15th at the Anne Frank Center
    The Anne Frank Museum and Voices of September 11th will co-host a 4-session diary writing workshop beginning in May. We hope you will join us! The workshop will be taught by Maureen McNeil, the Director of Education at the new Anne Frank Center Gallery, located at 44 Park Place, four blocks north of the 9/11 Memorial. The workshop will be held on 4 consecutive Tuesday's from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Tuesday, May 15, 22, 29 and June 5th. The fee is $50, and includes four workshop sessions and a blank journal. Space is limited, and reservations are required.
  • Depression and Anxiety Screenings
    The month of May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. VOICES professional social workers are pleased to offer free, anonymous telephone screenings for depression and anxiety from May 14th through May 31st between 9AM and 5PM. Please call our New Jersey office at 732-543-2300 if you would like to be screened or are simply interested in learning more. Parents are also welcome to call to evaluate whether their children are at risk. If you would like to learn more about the symptoms of anxiety and depression, click here.
  • Always Remember Interfaith Service at St. Peter's Church

  • College Prep Seminar
    The Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund in partnership with Scholarship America, Dunbar Educational Consultants, and Voices of September 11th will hold a College Prep Seminar, hosted by Morgan Stanley. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 18 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Morgan Stanley headquarters, located at 1585 Broadway (between 47th and 48th) in NYC. To view the invitation, click here.   • The Captain Martin J. Egan 5-K Walk/Run
    The Captain Martin J. Egan 5-K Memorial Walk/Run will be held Sunday, May 20, at the Midland Beach Picnic Area in Staten Island, NY. The event begins at 10 am, and honors the life of Marty Egan, who grew up in Midland Beach and was a member of the track team at Monsignor Farrell High School. The funds raised will finance a scholarship in Marty's name at Farrell, where Marty graduated from in 1982. Please return the application by May 10.
