Support Services Offered by VOICES
How are you doing? Are you concerned about a family member? More than a decade after 9/11, we at VOICES are receiving requests for assistance from families and friends who lost a loved one, or who survived or responded to the events of 9/11. VOICES offers a variety of support services that can help you.
In addition to our regular services, we are conducting 9/11 Living Memorial Appointments to enable 9/11 family members, rescue workers and survivors to commemorate their loved ones and tell their stories. The appointments in our New Canaan office provide an opportunity to meet with our mental health professionals. Call our office at 203-966-3911 to arrange an appointment.
Telephone screenings are available throughout the year, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. In addition, we set aside additional time during annual Anxiety and Depression Screening Weeks. Please call our New Canaan office at 203-966-3911 for further information or to speak to one of our mental health staff.
Depression and Anxiety Screenings
VOICES offers screenings over the telephone semi-annually on national screening dates in October and May, as well as throughout the year by request. The screenings are conducted by mental health professionals free of charge and referrals are made as needed.
Teleconference Support Groups
VOICES provides teleconference support groups for individuals living throughout the United States and abroad. Facilitated by mental health professionals, the groups remove the obstacle of geography so that members can join from wherever they live. Please call our office at 203-966-3911 for further information and registration or to speak to one of our mental health staff members at any time.

In Person Support Groups
Individuals who were impacted by the events on 9/11 may be separated by time and distance. However, they remain connected through a common bond of shared experiences and feelings. Coming together to comfort and support each other can be one step in the healing process. Our goal is to help individuals find strength by connecting with others who understand what they've been through and where they are headed. Facilitated by mental health professionals, VOICES provides in-person support groups in Rockland County, NY. Please call our office at 203-966-3911 for further information and registration or to speak to one of our mental health staff members at any time.
