Kenneth Feinberg on the American impulse after tragedy

VimeoInstagram

One Fund Boston is on track to distribute all $32 million in private contributions to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing by the end of June, Kenneth Feinberg says. Based on his long experience with this sort of grim duty, he's not expecting the 250 or so people who receive checks to say thanks. "I don't expect anybody to talk about fairness or justice when they've lost limbs, lost loved ones, had their lives completely turned asunder," the man running the Boston compensation fund said Friday on "Capital Download," USA TODAY's weekly video interview series. "The idea that anybody receives money and believes that justice has been done or that they have been treated fairly -- I would be shocked if they felt that way." More.
