Hendersonville firefighter to race up Freedom Tower

When Hendersonville Fire Department Capt. Jamie Cossler travels to New York this weekend, words like “courage,” “sacrifice” and “legacy” will likely come to mind - particularly as he climbs the nation’s tallest building.

Cossler, 48, will join 999 other people from across the country in the first stair-climb race at One World Trade Center. The new skyscraper, also called the Freedom Tower, stands on the 16-acre World Trade Center site and is the fourth tallest skyscraper in the world. More.
