Hundreds of New York City firefighters and others suffering from 9/11-related illnesses are headed to Washington on Thursday to testify at a hearing to renew the Zadroga Act. Without an extension of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, tens of thousands of volunteers and first responders who helped clean up Ground Zero won't be able to get federal help with their health care.
