Mark you calendars for VOICES Annual Information Forum which will be held once again at the Downtown Marriott Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, September 10th. The daylong forum will include panel discussions and exhibits on a variety of topics for the 9/11 community, including updates on the Victims Compensation Fund and information on eligibility and applications for the World Trade Center Health Program.

This past weekend, the VOICES staff participated in the News 4 New York Giants Health and Fitness Expo. Over 20,000 people attended the one-of-a-kind weekend event held in the MetLife Stadium. The VOICES team got a chance to meet several members of the News 4 team right on the field where the NY Giants play in the Fall!

The friendship we have developed over the years with the families from Oklahoma City means a great deal to so many of us. So, it is with deep sadness that I send our message of sympathy to the communities of Oklahoma City and Moore, who are recovering from the devastating tornado that took so many lives and injured hundreds of people.

VOICES will hold its speaker series at its New Brunswick office on Tuesday, May 7th from 2:00 - 4:00pm. In this workshop, lay Darma teacher Rebecca Li will discuss the principles and method of Chan meditation. Participants will learn how to establish their meditation practice and the correct posture, method and attitude needed to engage in the practice.

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. As families and friends gather together on this solemn occasion, we join them in remembering the 168 who perished and the 680 who were injured.

Like people from around the world, our staff watched in horror as news broke yesterday about the bombing at the Boston Marathon. Our immediate response was to contact our families and friends who may have run in the race or live in the Boston area and to reassure our children.
