Join us on Friday, April 3 for VOICES Symposium, "Promoting Resiliency in Communities Impacted by Trauma: Identification and Treatment of Long-Term Needs." The day-long event includes presentations by subject matter experts who have provided support services for children, families, responders and survivors impacted by 9/11.
We are very excited about our plans for 2015! Through the support of generous donors, foundations and grants we are continuing our programs for 9/11 families, responders and survivors, as well as working with collaborative partners to share lessons learned to help communities impacted by other tragedies. If you haven’t donated, please consider making a gift today!
As the end of the year approaches, all of us at VOICES reaffirm our longstanding commitment to promoting resiliency in the lives of those impacted by traumatic events. For over 13 years, we have worked with 9/11 families, responders and survivors, who have given us great insight into their evolving long-term needs.
The gift of love, the gift of peace, the gift of hope. May all these blessings be yours during this holiday season and in the coming year. Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
Once again, Voices of September 11th is proud to be marching with the Wounded Warrior Project in the upcoming Veterans Day Parade in New York City on Tuesday, November 11th! As you know, following the attacks on 9/11 many of these brave individuals joined the military to help make us all safer. It is quite an honor to march in unison in this special event.
Join Us for a Special Evening on Wednesday, November 5, 2015 at Guastavino's in New York, NY. Norah O'Donnell will moderate a compelling conversation with Governor Tom Kean and Senator Joseph Lieberman about their work on the 9/11 Commission, and the recent publication of "Reflections on the Tenth Anniversary of the 9/11 Commission Report."
As we come together tomorrow to remember those we lost, we also remember those who survived - the families of the victims who have become like an extended family to us, the responders who worked tirelessly in the recovery effort, and those who survived. 9/11 impacted us all, and our lives are intertwined by a tragic event that reshaped our families and our country.
I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the last days of summer! Our staff has been busy finalizing plans for our 13th Annual Day of Remembrance Information Forum. The theme of this year's conference is "Promoting Resilience, Healing Families and Communities," and we are excited to share the schedule with you today. As you'll see, we've planned a program that provides information for everyone- 9/11 families, responders, survivors and service providers.
